Terms of Use for WiFi Speed Test & Analyzer

By downloading, installing, or using WiFi Speed Test & Analyzer (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Purpose of the App
WiFi Speed Test & Analyzer is a utility application designed to help users estimate their network connection speeds (Download, Upload, Ping, and Jitter) and analyze the signal strength of nearby Wi-Fi networks.
Disclaimer of Accuracy: The speed test results and Wi-Fi signal strengths displayed by the App are estimates. Actual network performance can fluctuate based on numerous external factors, including your Internet Service Provider (ISP), network congestion, device hardware, distance from the router, and physical obstructions. The App is provided for informational purposes only.
2. Required Permissions and Device Access
To provide its core functionality, the App requires specific system permissions. By using the App, you acknowledge that these permissions are necessary:
Network & Internet Access: Required to connect to testing servers to measure your internet speed and to determine your active connection state.
Location Access (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Required by the Android operating system to retrieve the names (SSIDs) and details of nearby Wi-Fi networks for the analyzer feature. The App does not track your physical location.
Nearby Devices (NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES): Required on Android 13 and above to scan for local Wi-Fi networks.
If you choose to deny these permissions, certain features (such as the Wi-Fi Analyzer) will not function correctly.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertisements
The App is provided free of charge and is supported by third-party advertising services (such as Google AdMob).
By using the App, you agree to the display of advertisements.
These third-party services may utilize network data and device identifiers to serve ads. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of these third-party advertisements or the websites they may link to.
4. User Responsibilities and Restrictions
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
Modify, alter, or create derivative works based on the App.
Interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the App or the external testing servers it relies upon.
Use the App to conduct automated, high-frequency network requests that could be considered a Denial of Service (DoS) or otherwise abuse the testing infrastructure.
5. Data Storage
The App utilizes an offline-first, local-only storage architecture. Your speed test history is saved directly on your device. You are solely responsible for managing this data. If you uninstall the App or clear its application data, your test history will be permanently deleted. We cannot recover lost data as it is never synced to our servers.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be entirely error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate at all times.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developers, owners, or affiliates of WiFi Speed Test & Analyzer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or hardware issues resulting from the use of the App.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle the device data required to operate the App. By agreeing to these Terms, you also acknowledge and consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time to reflect updates to the App, changes in Android policies, or legal requirements. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
